My Voice!

Guess what? I have a voice again! I am so happy to be able to speak! Hooray! I won't say I sound like normal since I am so stuffy and raspy, but I don't sound like one of Marge Simpson's sisters anymore and for that I am truly grateful!

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

So, I am horribly sick. Not pregnant sick, but real-people sick! I can't even talk because of my sore throat. If I do try to talk I have this awful, raspy cough that makes me gag because of it's intensity. I have a buzzing headache, and all of that on top of the aches and pains of carrying around a wiggly bowling ball in my belly! So not fair. I think that pregnant people should be immune to all disease during the pregnancy! So, life-are you kidding me?!

Okay, now that I am done whining, sorry to had to go through that, I will give the updates! We had an awesome Memorial Day BBQ, which Ben and I hosted in our new backyard! We had my family and his family over so all together we had over 20 people there! Our backyard accommodated that size of a group just fine, which made us love it more. We had the typical fare of hamburgers, hot dogs, veggies, fruit, chips, and tons of desserts. After eating we set up volley ball, badminton (minus a net...) and croquet in the back and everyone had a blast! The last of our guests trickled out around 9:30 that evening, so I would say the event was a success. Earlier in the day my mother/sisters-in-law and I all went shopping and out to lunch too. It made for a very busy day but it was a lot of fun. Ben also got our hot tub up and working earlier that day so he enjoyed a nice soak after everyone left. I can't sit in the hot tub until after the baby, but I enjoyed sitting on the side and dangling my tired legs and feet in! It was a lot of fun, and I am sure we will do it again. I am quickly discovering, now that we have our own place especially, that my husband likes to play host! He is already planning several, that's right, several, other gatherings with friends and things like that. Good thing I am such a social person, huh? :)

Other update news, I am only 10 weeks away from my due date! Hooray! I am measuring right on time for where I should be, which is great, and the baby is very active all the time, but especially at night. I think he is going to be a major night owl like his daddy. I have started to get more and more baby stuff accumulated, and I am doing a big "baby day" in about another week or so. I will put some pictures up of his room once it is all done. I have discovered that Kid to Kid is awesome. Great clothes, awesome prices! It's hard to go in there and not come out with something so I am limiting myself to how many trips I make there, especially alone!

I have an Excel spreadsheet to help me stay organized while I shop. Nerdy? Yes. Awesome? Totally! It is broken down by categories and price points, and then for things that I need multiples of-onesies, for instance-there is a number in parenthesis next to the item and then small check mark boxes on that line so if I buy them at multiple locations I still know how many I have, and how many I will need. It keeps me from over-buying which Ben loves, and it keeps me from feeling panicked wondering if I shorted myself on something I need, which I love!
Don't laugh, you know you shouldn't be surprised if you know me at all!

I was honestly going to try to get pictures of the house, yard, and Memorial Day up on my blog this week, but then my deathly illness (cause that's how I feel) struck, and now all I am going to do is watch two seasons of Lie to Me on my Netflix and sleep and drink water. I may also watch a little Mr. Bean, I found that on Netflix too and Ben won't watch them with me! So, watch for an update next week instead that will include pictures! Sorry!
